Chancellor's Staff Advisory Committee

Established in 1980, the Chancellor's Staff Advisory Committee (CSAC) serves as a resource for the campus administration. It is a confidential committee of up to 16 members, appointed by the Chancellor. The committee's mission is to provide staff input into the campus's decision-making processes including, but not limited to, the development and modification of policies and procedures that directly affect staff. CSAC acts as an advisory committee to the Chancellor and Vice Chancellors on a host of issues, with the aim of helping to create a positive working environment for all staff members. Committee priorities are guided by a number of factors, including short- and long-term issues, and the Chancellor's stated goals.

CSAC strives to have a membership that reflects the diversity of the campus staff community. As part of their committee appointment, members of CSAC become an extension of the campus administration and may not advocate on behalf of any organization, department, or special constituency. The opportunity to serve on the Committee is available to all non-executive tier and non-academic campus staff who have completed their probationary period.
