The Chancellor's Outstanding Staff Awards (COSA) are presented to staff and teams who in addition to performing all their normal job duties with excellence, also take initiative and go above and beyond in their contributions to the UC Berkeley campus community.
The awards seek to recognize the broad diversity within the community of staff and their notable contributions in a variety of areas:
This award constitutes one of the highest campus-wide honors for staff employees at UC Berkeley. Past nominees and recipients have come from all divisions of the campus and all levels and classifications of staff.
You may nominate Berkeley current career staff member(s) who have at least one year of Berkeley employment for this non-monetary award. Individuals with academic or executive tier titles are not eligible. A staff member who has received an individual COSA within the last three years is not eligible for an individual awards. However, this will not preclude nominees from receiving a team award.
Any member of the campus community, including staff, faculty, and students, may submit nominations. Nominations need not come from the nominee's supervisor or department.
